I am a little late this year, posting my annual review of my Microstock analysis. This year marks 5 years since I started out in microstock photography and is also the year that I put the least amount of time, effort and energy into specifically creating stock. Life was busy this last year, and so I had to prioritise my time and the effort I put into things, so most of my time went into creating for myself and not for a purpose. In the process if what I created was good, then I put it online. Surprisingly this has not made a huge difference to how much I have earned. It also means that the content I am producing is no longer primarily focussed on food photography, which used to be the majority of my portfolio. Most of the images I have created in the last year have been outdoors, capturing life, nature and landscapes as a way of having some creative time. This is reflected in my top earners this year.
Annual Best Sellers
Favourite Images of the Year
I would have to say, this year my favourite images were from my trip to China.
